On Friday, July 17, 2009, Mr. Iyad Samarrai, received at his home Mr. Christopher Hill, the United States Ambassador to Iraq. They discussed a number of important topics with regard to Kirkuk issue and the marine security agreement with the British side, as well as the assessment of the security situation in Iraq after the withdrawal of American forces from Iraqi cities.
